Reverend Alice Hupp
Rev. Hupp has been the Senior Pastor at Park Place Christian Church, Wichita Falls, for the past 22 years. She has served as the Central Area Moderator and Vice Moderator. She received the Minister of the Year Award, given by the SW Regional Men and served as the Regional Disciple Men’s Pastor for a 2 year term. Before coming to Texas, Rev. Alice served several churches in the Indianapolis, Indiana area before moving to Auburn, Indiana where she served First Christian Church for 10 years. While in the Indiana Region, Rev. Hupp served on the Regional Board, as the Chairperson for the Licensed Ministry Commission.
She received her Masters of Divinity degree from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1984 and then a Masters of Sacred Theology (STM) advanced degree in Pastoral Counseling, 1987, also at CTS. Her undergraduate degree comes from Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana, where she double majored in Religious Studies and Interpersonal and Public Communications.
Mission trips are a passion for Alice. She has been involved in many mission trips from Honduras to South Africa to Lesotho to Kenya to Nicaragua and many trips to Mexico, New Orleans after Katrina and to Moore, Oklahoma after the tornado devastated more than 30,000 homes.
Rev. Alice enjoys innovative worship, where she has ridden a Harley motorcycle down the center aisle of church; has climbed up a 6’ ladder and jumped off; and has been wheeled around the sanctuary on top of scaffolding, all in an effort to make a point through pictures and experience.
She has written and recorded music while playing the guitar and enjoys walking and tennis and is a writer for the Worship Journal publication.
